New Titleist T-Series Irons Make Competitive Debut on Japan’s Domestic Men’s Tour

The highly anticipated next-generation Titleist T-Series irons are making their competitive debut this week on the Japan Players Championship by Sato Foods at Nishinasuno Country Club in Tochigi Prefecture.

Already a dominant force on the PGA Tour—where Titleist irons have been the most played for 20 of the past 21 seasons—Titleist is now bringing its tour-proven innovation to the domestic stage with the T100, T150, T200, and T350 models, along with the new T200-U and U•505 utility irons.

Trusted Worldwide, Ready for Japan

Titleist’s reputation as the go-to iron for the world’s best players is quickly gaining momentum on the Japan Golf Tour. Players are not just switching—they’re actively choosing Titleist as their trusted scoring tools, and the debut of the new T-Series lineup marks a pivotal moment for the brand in Japan.

Earlier this week, Titleist Japan tour reps were on-site helping players dial in final specs and setups, paving the way for these irons to see real competition for the first time on Japanese soil starting Thursday.

A New Era of Blended Sets

According to Hidenori Mezawa, Titleist Performance Coach, one of the key trends shaping modern iron setups is the rise of blended sets—where players mix iron models to optimize performance throughout the bag.
“In recent years, players want more height and distance from their long irons but demand precision and spin control from their short irons,” Mezawa explains. “The new T-Series irons are designed with this in mind. The seamless progression across the models makes it easy to build custom blended sets that match exactly what players need.”

Yoshihide Mano, Head of Domestic Tour Operations for Titleist, emphasized that the irons are already proving themselves overseas.

“On the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, many players made the switch mid-season, which shows the confidence they have in the performance gains,” said Mano. “I’m looking forward to seeing how the irons handle Japan’s unique course conditions, especially in challenging lies and wet rough.”

Coming Soon to Golfers Nationwide
The new T-Series irons will be available for custom fitting across Japan starting August 2025, with retail sales to follow shortly after.
