What a beautiful course! We spent two days here and didn't get tired of it at all. It felt like being in a tropical paradise with the superb views and great landscape for golf. The lunch on both days - in different areas of the course - were so delicious too! Friendly staff and nice bath to end the day.

This club is a class act, but without the aloofness that is sometimes associated with first rate courses. We played the Taiheiyo and Danryu nines on Saturday and the Kuroshio 18 hole course on Sunday. Taiheiyo was a gem, with unparalleled sea views and an accompanying and very welcome breeze to diffuse the August heat. At around 6,500 yards from the regular tees, both courses were a little longer than I'm used to, but the fairways were mostly generous, so I was challenged to stretch myself off the tee. The signature island green 12th on Kuroshio had us hoping and sweating in equal measure and we settled for dry, but just off the green. Maybe Tiger Woods and Michelle Wie, who trod these fairways before us, did better, but maybe not?!

This was my favorite course in Kochi. Although it was hard for an intermediate play like me (had to go 100 yards over a lake in front of a waterfall on one hole... did not make that unfortunately), the views were just lovely and the staff so welcoming. We played over two days here and stayed nearby at the Royal Tosa Hotel. Although the hotel was a bit run down, the food was excellent and oh, oh oh the golf was great! Had famous Katsuo no Tataki (seared bonito fish) for lunch and was able to befriend some of the local golfers. Beautiful ocean views and a pro-level course. What a gift!
